Twice in the first minute and three times in the first four minutes Giannis
got a hoop and some harm and all three times, Harrell drew the foul. A
minute later, he got a fourth basket and a foul but this one was called on
Gobert. Two minutes later, Giannis got a fifth basket and a foul but
Harrell had just gone to the bench to avoid his 4th foul. LEX led by as
much as 12 in the first quarter but Lake K cut it to 36-31 after 12
minutes. Giannis scored 15 points in the 1st making 3 of the 5 "and-one"
FT's plus two other FT's.
One minute into the 2nd quarter, Williams got a hoop and some harm and it
was the 4th foul on Harrell. Immediately upon returning to the court after
a five minute rest, Giannis found his sixth basket and a foul even with a
double team on him. But Harrell avoided his 5th foul thanks to the double
team as the doubler picked up the foul instead. Gobert and Harrell each
drew a foul against Giannis on Lake K's next two possessions to give him 2
quick fouls. Giannis hit back to back 3's both on D-12 to put him at 30
points already. LEX outscored Lake K 52-41 in the quarter to take a 88-72
halftime lead. LEX is on pace for 176 points!
In the third quarter, LEX got it up to a 21 point lead before Lake K
chipped it down to 9. LEX scored the last 7 points of the quarter to push
it back out to 19. LEX was "held" to 33 points in the quarter and now
leads 121-102. Giannis now stands at 38 points, 8 rebounds, and 5
assists. Dinwiddie is at 21 points. Harrell leads Lake K with 23 points
while Gobert has 20.
In the fourth quarter, Lake K got as close as 14 but despite scoring much
higher than average overall, could not keep nearly the pace of LEX who wins
going away 155-136. The Freak finished with 44 points, 10 rebounds and 6
assists. Dinwiddie added 27 points while Simmons paired 22 points with 11
assists. Lake K was led by Ingles with 28 points. Harrell scored 25
points and avoided fouling out. Gobert had 24 points and 10 rebounds.
Smart scored 13 and dished out a game high 13 assists.
