Yes, it was a good series and closer than I expected. Lexington has such a
deep, talented team with unstoppable offense that it was always going to be
an uphill battle. Good luck to both Dale and Charles in the Finals.

The first quarter saw Lexington jump out to a 9 point lead, 39 -30. Klay
Thompson led all scorers at that point with 10. Lexington was shooting 75%
and Lake K was only shooting 39%. Blake Griffin and Rudy Gobert were both
hit with their 2nd foul around the 8 to 9 minute marks.
In the 2nd quarter, Lexington had pushed their lead as high as 16. But
Lake K fought back and ended up outscoring Lexington 30 to 25 for the
quarter. At the half, Lexington clung to a tenuous 64 - 60 lead.
Lexington was shooting 66% at the half while Lake K was at 41%. Lexington
had a 10-0 run in the quarter but Lake K had an 8-0 run of their own.

The 3rd quarter saw Lexington grab a 15 point lead, 96 to 81. Klay
Thompson was big for Lake K as he now had 24 points (but he wouldn't score
again for the rest of the game). Giannis had 21 at the end of three for
Lexington. Lexington continued to outshoot Lake K, 66% to 37%.
Lake K fought back in the 4th. After Lexington pushed their lead up to
17, Lake K had a small run and got the lead cut to 10 or 12 points at one
point. But Lexington fought off the comeback and finished strong down the
stretch to win by 15, 120-105. Lake K shot 41 three pointers in this one
(making 11). For the game, Lexington shot 62% and Lake K shot 41%. Blake
Griffin led Lake K with 25 points. Giannis led Lexington with 23 points.
Lexington had 44 Fastbreak points while Lake k had 44 Points in the Paint.
A really good series. Congrats to Rick on a fine season. Rick, you built
a really strong team that was very difficult to keep down. I felt like
this series was closer than the final tally will show. Congrats again,
Rick.
Lexington wins the series 4 - 1 and moves on to play Scottsdale which
should be an epic matchup!
