LEX scored the first eight points of the game and the blowout was on before
any fans could get settled in their bubbles. LEX led 34-23 after one
quarter, 70-50 at the half, 108-70 after three, and won by a final score of
137-89. The lead kept ballooning higher and higher and reached its largest
lead at the final score of 38 points.
Gobert led Lake K with 28 points but could not reach double digits in
rebounds with LEX not missing much and piling up tons of dazzlers. Only
three others reached double figures for Lake K with Griffin scoring 14,
Harrell held to 11, and Okobo chipping in 11 from the end of the bench.
LEX got a game high 34 points from the Freak in only 30 minutes. Wiggins
added 25. Five others scored in double figures. Randle had a
double-double with 13 points and a game high 13 rebounds. Simmons just
missed a triple double with 13 points, a game high 12 assists and 9
rebounds. Stat of the game was blocked shots where LEX led 10-0!!
