I wanted to clarify two things.
1. Someone asked if how many rounds is the dispersal draft in length.
Normally, we have held 10 round as the extra players potentiall allows teams
for teams to better facilitate trades that are not one player for one
player. We will have about a week where I will open trading and teams are
able to trade their players, current draft picks, and one seasons's draft
picks ahead. But keep in mind that after the approximate week, we will have
the keeper/cut deadline where each team can only protect 8-players and the
cuts go into the rookie/free agent pool. That makes it important when
negotiating your trades whether they are pre-cut or post-cut deals for the
obvious reason of the keeper/cut deadline. I think we should draft out to 10
players because this is what I explained.
2. Coaches that miss a pick can select a player at anytime and need to
send in before the end of the timeslot that the returning teams have at the
end of the night to choose to protect a player or pass and draft at the end
of the round. You can still either select a player from the pool or from a
returning team, but keep in mind that if a player has already been selected
from a team, you are no longer eligible to draft a player from that roster.
Returning teams need to keep in mind that a team making a makeup pick and
select a player from their roster up until the end of the timeslot.
3. If a coach is not able to make a pick at the end of the night, I
will make the pick for the team. There are no guarentees that you are going
to be happy witih the pick I make so please make arrangements to have
someone pick a player from your short list instead of rely on me making it
for you.
