First thanks to all who have responded to my initial call to action for the
2018 Vegas Extravaganza.
I have attached the preliminary results of the Vegas survey for the best
start date. As of now, I am leaning towards the March 16th start date for
several reasons:
#1 Ace is only available that week and as SOGAGG Founder and Primary
Plankholder, how can we ever have a clear conscience if he were not there to
lead the charge to the 19th hole!!!!!
#2 So far, with 15 SOGAGG responders, there are 7 SOGAGGr's that are
unavailable for the two weeks in April as well as the March 16th date so
there is no clear cut wining week;
#3 We can celebrate St Patty's day with our GREEN SOGAGG shirts in full glory
wearing our Irish Drinking Caps with convenient Guiness bottle opener on the
visor compliments of our supreme leader !!!!!
#4 March 16th is the first round weekend for the NCAA Basketball tournament
so everyone will be able to lay down some cash at the Sports Betting
windows...
And last but not least, #5 --- See Reason #1.
So here are the names who can attend so far beginning Friday, March 16th:
Ace, Bagger, Divot, Docho, Knockdown, Shaft, Fast Eddie and Chi Chi
Regrets for all dates from: Birdee, sHank, OB and Hazard.
Regrets for Mar 16th week from Axe and Rules.
Still waiting to hear back from Skully, Old Slce and Trek.
I welcome your thoughts and comments. Also attached is a map of the area
surrounding the Wyndham
Grand Desert showing the proximity to the strip and lots of dinning and
gambling options. I, like Bagger, have a timeshare week to use at the
Marriott Chateau which is a block away from the Wyndham.
It is also important to note that the Las Vegas TOPGOLF facility is located
in close proximity to the Wyndham and Marriott for our evening entertainment.

out as well if you are an Interval International member.
ACTION REQUESTED:
Old Slice, Trek and Skully please indicate your interest in attending the
Vegas outing.
Woods please advise on your availability for the March 16th start date.
All those I have listed as available for March 16th start date please confirm
I'm correct.
Once we all agree on the plan ahead, the next important step is to lock in
your AFVC reservation at the Wyndham Grand Desert for the week beginning
March 16th for a one bedroom unit. I did not see any two bedroom options on
the website. I did confirm with AFVC that one member can book multiple rooms
but remember once you book it there is a 30% cancellation fee.
Draft golf and happy hour entertainment schedule to follow ....

I'd like to propose a new home base at the Wyndham Grand Resort which is
close to the Vegas Strip near the MGM complex and Hard Rock Hotel and Casino.

the week which works out to a whopping $43/night.
Please let me know if you are interested in making the trip and your first

Option #3 Week March 16th, 17th or 18th
I think there is still a maximum of two room reservations per person so we
should be able to cover anyone who is not eligible to make a AFVC reservation
on their own.
Also if we all decide to have a hospitality room, we could split the cost
among the group.
Please send along your thoughts and date preferences. The $299/week sale
ends on Oct 18th so the sooner we decide the better for availability.
