Thanks Ace. I think that we should leave it as a par 5 on the score card.
Gives us a better chance of par on that hole. Come to think of it, this might
be a good idea on EVERY hole…… J

Subject: [sogagg] Re: Status of Sea 'n Air golf course
KD/Looks like Mother Nature might have gotten the word SOGAGG would be playing
there Saturday and wanted to make us feel at home.
We’ll make up for this by all paring No.14....⛳️🏅/Ace

Fellow SOGAGGers,
I am delighted that we are able to get together for golf this Saturday. Always
a wonderful day when you can spend it on the links with great friends.
Wanted to alert you however to some issues with the Sea ‘n Air golf course that
arose as a result of our most recent storm – particularly the very high winds
experienced overnight on Tuesday.
About a half-dozen of the high posts that held the protective screening on the
course side of the driving range were knocked over. And therefore the driving
range has been temporarily closed. This condition also affected the 1st hole.
Normally a par 5, it has now been shortened to a 240 yard par 4. The rest of
the course is in good shape, but wanted to let you know about these issues so
that you weren’t surprised.
For those of you who wish to warm up with a bucket of range balls prior to our
game, might I suggest the nearby Coronado Municipal GC? It is a very short
drive from there to the base, and the facility is excellent. Of course the
putting green at Sea’ n Air is still open (not that anyone in our group would
need to practice their putting…..).
I hope that these unforeseen anomalies won’t discourage anyone from having a
wonderful time on Saturday. I am looking forward to seeing everyone, and to a
fun round of golf with all of you.
Warmest wishes,
KD
