Now Pago Pago isn't letting us in???? I thought that we were only banned
from the main island, but still could go back to visit the coral atolls
(escorted and fully bonded, of course). Clearly some of the damage we were
being blamed for by the Ili'Ili' golf pro had been done by a Tsunami several
years earlier. And by the way, that particular incident with the humpback
whale was really not our fault...
At some point, we're going to need to invest in better disguises...

KD/It's this sort of pithy thinking that has made this society so unique,
and also more than explains why we are persona non grata in 17 states plus
the Virgin Islands and Pago Pago. Still, the revelations you have presented
along with the piercing questions you have put forth, well, you know - they
need to be addressed. Thus I'm bringing this email with me to the outing
and once the round is complete we will go through each to determine closure.
This should become pretty hilarious after the third pitcher of beer.
By the by, Hazard mentioned he's never played the course before. Doesn't
the first timer always bring the anti-snake venom..? You all probably are
aware of that time a couple years ago when Docho got bit by a rattler on the
back nine of Mount Woodson? We tried everything but despite our best
efforts, the snake died..

Your generosity continues to be legendary, (as is your choice in friends -
but that is another matter, and quite frankly - very concerning...). I look
forward to a very memorable day of camaraderie, amity, and poor judgement.
A couple of notes and questions, if I may:
. I too hope that "Bagger" can make it. You mentioned that you
thought he was on your list. I want to assure you that he is on many, many
lists. (e.g. TSA watch list, Equifax "winner's" list, IRS audit list,
etc..)
. Will "Hazard" will actually driving the golf cart? If so, have
you teamed him with sufficient horsepower to pull one of these vehicles out
of the woods? (I noticed that you actually put "Woods" in the same
foursome, so am assuming some thought went into that). I have a clean
change of clothes in case there is another mudding accident..
. Got it on the green golf shirts. Just remember that OB has to
take "Pedie" out once in awhile, otherwise there is chaos at home..
. Having been the one responsible for suggesting "Docente Ocho" as a
callsign (I thought it meant "28"), after finally researching the actual
meaning of the word, "Docente" is roughly translated to mean "teacher". So
in reality, "Docente Ocho" means "teacher of eight". I am assuming, (based
upon personal observation), this means that "Docente" will continue to teach
us all how to score an "8" on a hole. I know that this will be revealing to
some (who have been known to get a much higher score than that when the
conditions are right..)
. Will "Axe" be bringing more deodorant? It's been 2 years, and
while I haven't yet used all of mine, (based upon a commitment to shower at
least every other week), would like to know when to expect the next
deodorant delivery.
. Want to let "Rules" know that I just received the current edition
of the SCGA handbook, and couldn't find anything in there about the kinds of
situations that we normally get into (like how much to tip the beer cart
person, playing your shot after your partner has backed the cart over your
golf ball, who goes first when everybody has shanked their 2nd shot into a
yard with a very angry Doberman presiding..)
. "Ace" - will you be wearing bright colors so we know where you
are? (The green shirt might make it difficult to see you when you're not in
the fairway - as unusual as that may sound...)
. Will "Shaft" be bringing his own music?
. Will "Divot" be required to take one of these?
. Does "OB" know that he can play from "inside" the white stakes?
. Can "sHank" stay focused when he'll probably only see his fellow
players on the tee box and (maybe) the green?
I hope that these, and other important questions, will be answered on
Saturday, as you have so graciously gathered us together to prove once again
that hopeless frustration with friends is so much better than hopeless
frustration alone..
