Society Members – update on golfers for the 20 October charity scramble at Salt
Creek. It looks like we have three foursomes. The tally for the “A Night to
Remember Golf Tournament”:
In: Ace, Birdie, sHank, Docho, Rules, Axe, Shaft, Woods,
Bagger, and three guests of sHank, Birdie and Shaft - Chris Jalonen, Harold
Kaloogian, and Jack Kaloogian
Out: Knockdown, Hazard, Skully, Trek, Divot, OB
Haven't heard from: Old Slice, Bounceback, Chi-Chi.
In total, that makes twelve of us, very awesome! Let me reach out to the
tournament director and figure out if there is a way for us each to register
individually. Right now, the registration on-line requires each foursome to
register together. The difference is single golfers are $125/golfer and a
foursome can play for $100/golfer. I will get back to you. We have until 13
October to register.

In total, that makes nine of us, I would like to get back to the golf
tournament organizers with three foursomes, i.e., we need three more players.
Can you reach out to fellow golfers that would like to join us on 20 October,
there are likely several golfers already planning to play that you all know,
just a matter of playing with us cool kids 😊 . Appreciate if you could let me
know by 1 October so I can get back to the tournament organizers with names.
The cost averages $100/golfer with foursomes, and $125 for a single so it’s
good for everyone.
Attached are some flyers that were attached with the original email from the
tourney organizers.
* There is a form if your have something to donate to the silent auction, I
think Chi-Chi did this last year; if so, please fill out that form.
* There is a form to sign up form for the tournament to make you payment
on-line.
* There is yet another form, to sign up to sponsor a hole (we will print
out our SOGAGG logo), hole sponsorships cost $250 while they last. I plan to
throw in $50, can I get some other takers towards this worthwhile cause?

golf event, our Society was recognized many times by several groups for our
participation (I think there was eight of us) in their charity event, which, at
least in part help sponsor veterans and active duty personnel.
In that same spirit, could you look over the
attached flyers and get back to me (by 17 Sep, if possible) on your
availability to play on Friday, 20 Oct, for this extremely worthwhile event
that helps kids with disabilities. It is a shotgun start at Salt Creek, starts
at 1200, with dinner afterwards. Several of us have played this event in the
past, it is a very fun tournament. If I recall correctly, the parents of
several of these kids are at each of the holes, and there is a real outpouring
of appreciation for all the golfers participation. The cost is $100/per play
if we have a foursome. I think we will go with the green shirts and hats in
mass for this one. Hope you can make it.
