Thanks for the update Ace! Either is fine. Miramar works. It’s flat but will be
fun none the less with the sogagg familia.
Re: reservations. part is holidays. Part could be that you are making SOGAGG
reservations :-). The county was bound to figure us out.
Thanks for settling my up the tee time.

Folks,
Have nine so far for an early Saturday the 16th start: OB, Docente Ocho,
Shaft, sHank, Axe, Rules, Woods, and Bagger.
Still awaiting Skully, Old Slice, Trek, Hazard, Divot, Knockdown and
Bounceback.
Unable to play: Chi Chi and Birdie.
Now the challenge: Carlton Oaks has a men’s tournament the 16th and first
tee time is 1116 – no good. Called Carmel Mountain Country Club and they
have a tournament beginning at 0645 and no tee times until nearly noon.
Called Sea ‘N Air and they have nothing until 1048 due mostly to active duty
personnel being able to obtain tee times ten days in advance (only fair those
folks are given a head start). Bonita Golf Club’s first tee time that day is
1018, which wouldn’t have us finishing until approximately 1500 – too late
for many. Riverwalk is the worst since he has nothing on any of its three
nines until “early afternoon.” Admiral Baker’s first tee time on either
course on the 16th is 1107 (see the trend here?).
In the attempt to keep our outing somewhat San Diego-centric since it’s a
Saturday and the drive home should be rightfully short in order for everyone
to get on with their weekend activities, there remains only the Coronado Muni
and Miramar (which I admit to find flat and boring). Woods, as Coronado’s
former City Councilman, would you consider an attempt, using your
considerable “sway,” to see if those folks might have three back-to-back
foursomes beginning approximately 0645 or 0700? In the meantime, I’ve booked
three foursome at Mission Trails for 0700, 0707 and 0715 but I’m aware of the
thoughts of several concerning that course. By the by, I’m told by several
of the pro shops of the courses I’ve contacted above that is the way it’s
going to be during the holiday season with lots of folks taking vacation and
many visitors coming into our fair city, i.e., the golf courses tend to have
a full dance card well in advance.
Thoughts appreciated,

I was looking to set up the December outing on either the 15th or 16th at
Carlton Oaks. I thought I would host the outing to celebrate my return from
four months of business purgatory. We could do this instead if desired and
do Carlton Oaks in January. Or, we could do both in December.
Thoughts?

Rules et al,
Just contacted the course and they did not have any damage. So might be
something to consider.

It’s really close to the Lilac fire. Do we know if they were affected?
