What a wonderful alert on the importance of APRIL 7th... My day would have
flown by without knowing that today is a very very special day... Yikes,
Where would we be without our beloved beverage of choice.

Today marks the day prohibition ended for beer....
*Dear Lightning Enthusiast:*
Today is "National Beer Day!" This is the day in 1933 that the
Cullen-Harrison Act allowed the legal sale of beer to again start.
Thank goodness!
In recognition of National Beer Day we are re-releasing two Lightning
favorites: Blue Sky IPA and Black Lightning Porter!
You can see Blue Sky IPA above on the left and Black Lightning Porter on
the right. Blue Sky IPA is our Poway-centric India Pale Ale name after our
local ecological preserve. Not too big, not too small of a beer with an ABV
of 6.5%. Bitter, but not too bitter and floral and woodsy on the hopping.
Plus, a bit hazy like a good IPA should be. Black Lightning Porter on the
other hand is big, bold, malty and balanced with hops to match it's
character. Not really a traditional porter, but great for a full-bodied
syrupy bold beer. Note: Lightning does not pass through a pint of Black
Lightning Porter!
We are nearing the end of the CoVid19 restrictions and are now allowed to
operate outside and inside with limited seating. Please wear a mask when
not in your seat and respect other clients social distance. We have been
trying to stop the spread for over a year and do not want to contribute to
