Hi Everybody,
Exciting news. I met today with Pam Davis News Planner at KUSI TV Channel 9 in
San Diego, regarding our upcoming 2018 Navy Gold Coast Conference. I thanked
her again for the great on air interview they gave us last August for Navy Gold
Coast 2017, when they interviewed Admiral Becker and Kurt in studio on Good
Morning San Diego Weekend edition. Moving ahead to the 2018 Conference, I was
able to get Pam to give us several on-air interviews. Here's the plan we
discussed this morning during my meeting with her
1. KUSI will give us another on-air interview this year on Good Morning
San Diego Weekend Edition, several weeks before the Navy Gold Coast Conference.
Since the Conference is in early August this year, that would make the on-air
interview at KUSI TV Studios on a Saturday during July.
2. During the Navy Gold Coast Conference, I also got Pam to agree to send
a KUSI News Team to the Navy Gold Coast Conference while it is taking place,
and interview Emily Harmon, for broadcast on Good Morning San Diego Weekday
Edition. And that interview will also probably run on their Evening News
Programs that same day as well.
3. I also asked if Pam could let us have an interview on Good Morning San
Diego Weekend Edition in March or April, to get some early publicity for Navy
Gold Coast, and maybe interest some local businesses in exhibiting at the
Conference in August. Pam agreed to do this. She thought if we could have a
local business that displayed at Navy Gold Coast last year, and could explain
how they benefited from exhibiting at the Conference, that would be a great
solution oriented approach to that interview that would be of interest to their
KUSI Viewers.
So that is what Pam is looking to do for us this year for the Navy Gold Coast
Conference. A couple other things:
1. I told Pam that the Navy Gold Coast Conference is having a Golf
Tournament on Monday August 6th. She was wondering what Country Club it will
be at, and what the Charity is that the Golf Tournament will benefit. Dwayne,
when I talked with you last week at Epsilon Systems, I remember you saying that
the Golf Tournament will be in Rancho Bernardo. What is that name of the
Country Club? And what is the Charity the Golf Tournament will be benefiting?
2. Pam requested a digital Bio on Emily Harmon. I had a hard copy of
Emily Harmon's Bio that I gave to Pam, but she needs a digital copy for use in
studio. So if someone can send me one that will be great, and I'll forward it
on to Pam.
So that's a detailed snapshot of what publicity we will be be getting on KUSI
Channel 9 Television for this year's Navy Gold Coast Conference.
