Ken,
Thanks for your note. I have filled one of the 2 open slots for Wed with
"Tug" McGraw (who I think you've played golf with before). So that does
leave us with 1 open slot for Wed.
I sent a separate note to Chi Chi asking if it made sense for me to pick him
up at the airport and bring him straight to the course (picking up his
rental car later).
Regarding Thursday's outing, I sent a note to "Danger" Don asking whether
his son Neal will be joining us. Will let you know as soon as I hear back.
For ALL SOGAGGers: I am calling an "audible" on a couple of things.
(1) Want to make Monday's event at Sea 'n Air a SOGAGG SHIRT DAY. (Should
be PLENTY of time to wash your shirts after the designated shirt day on
Friday.
(2) For Monday's event, I am bringing Barry "Bounceback" King with me. As
many of you know, Barry had a heart transplant AND a stroke all within
months of one another. He is a great guy, and I am trying to get him out on
the course as often as his health will permit. He can't play, but instead
will drive my rental cart - and offer coaching tips and advice along the
way. I look forward to having everyone see him again.
Finally, I am attempting to put together an informal dinner for Sat night.
So far a couple of folks have expressed interest: Chi Chi and the "Cousin
Ben Family" (sounds like a 60's band), "Old Slice" and Mrs. (Young and
Beautiful) Slice, "OB" and Mary "OB". Will work with those who have
expressed an interest to pick a mutually convenient rendezvous location.

ps. Attached (rev 3) schedule is the most current. Read it. Study it.
And then rip into small pieces and eat them so that it doesn't fall into
enemy hands (i.e. course marshals, starters, pro shops, etc..)

For those playing on Wed, our tee times are 545 and 552, they are asking
that we check in 15 minutes early. There is a large group that basically
has all the tee times from 0600 on, so try to get there ahead of time. I
will contact John Hanks. Looking forward to golf and Rocky's, it does not
get much better. We still have one opening if anyone can join.

Fellow SOGAGGers,
Attached please find the FINAL SCHEDULE for next week's golf outings. You
will note that everyone has an assigned tee times in () after their names,
with the group listing below the matrix. Three criteria were used to
develop this matrix:
1. Give everyone a chance to play in Chi Chi's group at least once.
2. Maximize opportunities for everyone to play with everyone else.
3. Keep KD's head from hurting from overanalyzing all this stuff.
(Note: Criteria #3 was the primary factor...)
Looking forward to a great week of golf. But now that we the "ATHLETIC"
activities solidified, we may want to look at "NON-ATHLETIC" activities.
Regarding the latter, here's what I presume we have scheduled thus far:
Wed (9 Nov): Rocky's burgers after night golf @ MBGC
Thurs: nada
Fri: Rendezvous at Rico's after La Costa event
Sat: Lunch/debrief at Salt Creek afterward? Evening unscheduled
Sun: Lunch/kibitzing session at Adm Baker prior to tee off? Evening
unscheduled
Mon: Lunch/debrief at Sea 'n Air // Fairwell to Chi Chi [Attorneys
contacted. Bond posted. Hearing dates set.]
Would anyone be interested in an evening rendezvous on Saturday night? Mary
and I would be delighted to host, or we could pick a rendezvous point that
is easy driving distance to everyone. Please let me know right away on
this. We'll set something up if there is some interest.
