Attached is a fundraising request from my daughter's best friend, Nathan
Lee. He is an outstanding young man, a senior at Christian High School, the
football team's center, middle linebacker, and captain, and a Life Scout. He
has aspirations to attend a Service Academy (The Naval Academy being his
first choice, of course), and earn an engineering degree. He is raising
money to complete his Eagle Scout project. I know he has been able to get
some of the materials donated, and he has the donated services of a PE for
the permit and engineering plans, but he still needs $5,000 to complete his
project.
I know some of you are Eagle Scouts and you know what it takes to complete
that goal. You also know the importance it has on young lives and even to
future goals. I was not an Eagle Scout, but I have great respect for the
effort and accomplishment and want to help see this your man succeed.
As you will see, Nathan sent this particular letter to me at Deloitte, and I
will work to get Deloitte to sponsor. Beyond anything Deloitte will provide,
Bonnie and I will also sponsor Nathan's project and I ask you to consider
doing the same.
The Boy Scouts of America are a charitable organization, so donations may be
tax deductible.
Any donation would be very much appreciated.
