Good for Trek for getting out. Hope to be in the lynx with you sooner vs later
Trek.
Rules-Congrats in your 2 rounds! Very exciting.

Society Members,
A great SOGAGG day yesterday in support of Indus Technology’s charitable golf
tournament to benefit the Cornerstone organization. Indus’ CEO Eric
MacGregor indicated during the post-round food and awards’ ceremony that they
had raised about $5,000 for the charity. Thanks to all you great SOGAGGers
for contributing your time and/or your treasure to help out these folks. The
weather was gorgeous, the repartee was superb and it was, above all, a lot of
relaxed fun.
Of particular note, our man Trek returned to action after a long stint of
medical rehab and it was a kick having him back out with his sticks and
“Trekish” humor. Interestingly enough, the more we progressed through the
round, the more he started to laser in. He’s always said that in SOGAGG, he
never wanted to come in last and darn sure never first. I think he’s working
his way back to that goal in pretty good fashion.
And now the issue of breach of protocol: Earlier this week Rules (of all
people) absolutely lost all semblance of SOGAGG etiquette that is so well
defined in chapter 14, clause 7.b.III of our society policies, practices and
procedures manual when he shot a 76 at Balboa and had the gall to feel good
about it afterwards. This came off the heels of a 79 just a few days before
this debacle occurred. Clearly, we have no choice here but to activate the
SOGAGG Kangaroo Court, i.e. official jury of his peers, and deal with this
messy issue. In the meantime, let this serve as a reminder to the group:
Minor slips may be overlooked but major infractions will invoke a heavy cost
– in beers…
