Rules/Good points and very helpful. Im guessing the 25 points plus those
youve mentioned will make for a good (and still relaxed) outing. Now, as
far as your concern about having two people in a cart only when traveling
between the green and the teeing ground should your partner be Knockdown and
your ball is ahead of his: I need to refrain from drawing on past
experiences to form an opinion because Ive been hit so many times that Ive
come to find physical pain a key element of my game

Subject: [sogagg] Re: 25 Steps to Speed Up Play
I dont have any recommendation on the shirts, except that I concur with the
recommendation for us all to pay for our own shirts.
25 Steps:
Yeah on all but the Play it Forward. Heres another that works: First
two to putt out go to the next hole and tee off.
Staying in position is the fundamental that keeps play moving as much as
is possible. You are in position if you are ready to hit as soon as the
group in front clears. This would be to tee off as the front group leaves
their first shot (leaves the green on a par three), play your approach shot
as the group in front departs the green, and be moving to the next teeing
ground as the front group is leaving.
The bit about having two people in a cart only when traveling between the
green and the teeing ground could use some clarification. The idea is that
the cart driver drops the passenger off at their ball and proceeds to their
own ball. This helps the pace of play, but Im a bit concerned about one
thing. If my passenger is Knockdown and my ball is ahead of hisyou all
know what Im getting at! Im not sure even Axe has the nerve to make this
work.

Subject: [sogagg] 25 Steps to Speed Up Play
SOGAGG Colleagues,
I offer the sage advice in the attachment for consideration its become
very popular in golfing circles. Frankly, we can enjoy a 4 to 4 /12 round
rather than a 5 to 5 ½ shlog through the course and continue to enjoy
ourselves just as much. Further, it allows for a protracted 19th hole where
we are all together rather than the individual foursomes during play.
New subject: Does anyone have input they would like to provide relative to
a new set of SOGAGG shirts (my treat) that would be orange in color with
black lettering? Like we dont draw attention to ourselves anyway
Also, would there be any changes considered for the front and/or back of the
shirt format?
Very best,
/Ace
