SOGGAG,
I spent some time this morning with our new tournament director, Paul
Kipfstuhl. Matt Loflen has moved up the chain a notch, and Paul is his
replacement.
Items of interest:
1. I asked Paul to provide a screen for our video projection. He took
a note. I forgot to ask the price.
2. With 120 players we own the course for the day. Shouldn't be an
issue, so I am going forward based on the assumption we will make this
number.
3. We will provide the guaranteed number of players and extra meals
required NLT 2 August.
4. We will provide an estimate number of players and extra meals
required NLT 27 July.
5. We will cap the number of players at 144.
6. We will provide a final pairing list NLT 1200, 05 July.
7. Sponsors must deliver their products, banners, canopies, etc. by 5
PM Friday, 5PM Saturday, or 5PM Sunday. Canopies could be dropped off at
the bag drop area the morning of the event.
8. SOGAGG must deliver pool for hole 4 and beverages for coolers by 5
PM Friday, 5PM Saturday, or 5PM Sunday.
9. The course will provide four canopies (we have determined a need for
3 so far) and four coolers with ice. We will provide the products for the
coolers.
10. The course will
a. Mark the course in accordance with our Player Game Guide as
discussed. Where possible, markers will be American flags. (Shamrocks for
hole 3 fell into the "too hard" category.)
b. Course will install pool on hole 4 and all canopies/coolers.
c. Course will staff and run the putting contest.
d. We may staff and run a marshmallow long drive contest next to hole
one. We must clean up the marshmallows.
e. Course will receive hole signs from Fairway Golf and install per our
plan. Course provided a spreadsheet for us to complete.
f. We must confirm our menu selection. Burrito Breakfast is the
selection for the morning. I have asked for votes on lunch in a separate
correspondence.
g. Course will place signs on carts and stage carts.
h. We will provide scorecards and Player Game Guides.
i. We will provide a script for announcements at the cart staging area.
j. Course will mount banners in the Award Luncheon banquet hall and on
canopies, where needed.
