Reminder - about the 007 tournament in North Carolina put on by my brother,
Chris, to be held the first weekend in November. He encourages us to sign
up soon. To give you a sense of the nonsense that goes on during this
weekend, here's the players' booklet from last year. As you can see, it's
less about the rules than it is about the silliness.

Attached is a description of a tournament in Pinehurst, NC. It's put on
by my brother Chris on Saturday and Sunday, 3-4 November. He can
accommodate 3 or 4 foursomes from SOGAGG. The only caveat is that we agree
to have a good time. I've attended this tournament a few times. Knockdown
(Gar) and I attended as part of a Coronado foursome last year. It's very
inexpensive and a lot of fun. The resort is walking distance from central
Pinehurst, making the off-hours very enjoyable. Last year, our group went
a day early to take advantage of the Friday practice round; then golfed the
tournament Saturday and Sunday. I and some others stayed and golfed
Monday, as well. Flying in and out of Raleigh is the most straightforward
way to get there.
If you'd like to go, sign up and put SOGAGG into the field where you
identify your foursome. We can sort the teams later.
Our team last year was recognized for our accomplishment. Photo attached
(John, Casey, Gar, and me). Our score of 13 under in two days of
competition earned us last place. So there were some pretty good golfers
there. Even so, it's a relaxed, SOGAGG-like environment.

The time has come to make plans for your fall trip to Pinehurst and the
007 Golf Outing. 80 slots will go quickly, so we encourage all to get
signed up as soon as you are able. This year will feature Day 1 at Foxfire
Golf Club (a Gene Hamm design), and Day 2 at the Southern Pines Golf Club
(a classic Donald Ross course). We return to Pinehurst the same weekend as
last year, the first weekend in November.
Once again, we will raise money for a worthy charity, the FBIAA Memorial
Educational Fund. Last year we raised *over $34,000* for this great
cause, providing college scholarships to children of FBI agents who have
died in the line of duty. Your support, and any corporate support is
greatly appreciated.
Please help me out, if I have missed someone who is a regular, or should
be at our event, feel free to forward. Let me know if you have any
