Thanks Mandy

Sweet Pea doesn’t appeal to everyone J

Another example of the crackled effect of using titanium dioxide.

I have an unscented bar in the works as a deluxe unscented.

Kia ora ross
Heres my feedback on your soap

My initial impression was the smell was overwhelming..overwhelming
in some good way..it had a very familiar soapy smell, which was attractive but
also less attractive because of the danger of replicating commercial soap or
something…the box I like although it did get a bit squashed on the trip and the
patterns well, they are a bit too girly for me, feminine or something..
The label, unfortunately I had to put my glasses on to read it so
have only just had the pleasure-I have ‘vetchling’.i like the wild hybrid font
and I am sorry to be so ignorant but the symbolism is way over my head.
I like the email address on there-it’s the way of the world now
isnt it…well it gets your product further really as if they have the label then
they always can get hold of you cos of the address.
Pre shower experience- yeah I quite liked looking at the soap, easy
on the eye and a bit of colour and transtional colour, one side looked really
interesting, a textured effect and yet it was very smooth, how did you do this?
The edges were a little uneven/soft which to me detracted from the
professionalism of the soap.
I quite like the size of the soap and the shape, longer than normal
size bars which I quite like –the difference that is. Soap felt smooth and soft
Shower experience-lather was nice and it felt delightfully smooth,
nice hard bar, not too sure if I am sold on the scent really but that’s just
me..it certainly is an experience..u must use heaps of Eos or FOs or both ,
like how much?i think when u sell soap or anything, its important to offer a
variety eg some not fragranced, some medium and some strong, that’s why I
ask..and that’s also just me who is into the creative process so much that I
just don’t want to stop experimenting so I haveta justify it somehow.

I do overall find it a fascinating bar of soap and may have more
feedback after my next experience with it. In fact its sucha lovely laid back
Sunday afternoon, I think I might just run myself an outside bath and go have
another experience of that soap or some of the others too cos its so great to
be able to do this. Thanks everyone, its been and still is so good

Ross,
Thanks for the info re the titanium dioxide - I'm excited to try something I
haven't done before. I have some titanium dioxide, but have never used
it!

Thanks
too, for the info on the fos - I'm really tempted. But, I've still so
much to learn about eos, and have an excellent book - so it might have to wait
for now.

I
wouldn't be in a hurry to change your packaging - it is really lovely and I
imagine would really appeal to women buyers.

What
I used to do at markets and do at retail outlets, and it is very effective, cos
although you can see my soap, you can't smell the scent - is to provide a
sample size - in my case half the size of full size. Type up a little
label with the name of the soap and scent - ensure it is covered with clear
sticky wrap (that clear contact stuff), - back and front cut it out
(I used little labels, Avery 65's) and then use a pin to push through the label
into the soap. They look tidy and professional. The public can pick
them up and look, feel and smell to their delight. Every 6 months
or so as the scent fades (probably less often with fos) I replace the samples.
The retailer is happy and the customer is more likely to purchase. I
wouldn't worry about a soap menu, as it is the visual thing that is needed - I
think.

I
would give this a go before doing away with your boxes.
