My recipe is:
500gms palm oil, 250gms coconut oil, 250gms veg. oil, 5mls castor oil, 400mls
filtered water, 2/3 cup caustic soda, vanilla essence and coffee fragrant oil.
If you do muck up mix is it really worth reheating and trying again. Is there
anything I can do to get rid of the stickiness of the soap.
Pauline

My third batch of soap - not good. When I mixed the oil with the lye it

Palm oil in. Next day grated half of that batch and reheated it and trickled
in filtered water slowly. Took another 600mls but it looked like and felt like
it had a bad cold (snotty). As it cooled it turned white and was manageable
but now feels sticky. What went wrong?
