Hi Everyone

Just thought I would introduce myself. My name is Heather and I just signed
up to this forum a couple of weeks ago and have been soap making for one
week!! Yay! I'm totally addicted and have made several batches already (only
enough for about 12 muffin size soaps each lol)

It appears I have just missed out on a great soap swap! Disappointing to say
the least! Not that I have any soap to swap or anything, but I'm like....O
man....why didn't I start this a couple of months earlier lol..but I'm
thoroughly enjoying all the ideas coming through.

I need all the help I can get and so any suggestions you can head my way
would be accepted gratefully.

Just a couple of questions.

I decided to buy a silicone muffin tray just to try this soap making out
before trying anything to jazzy (haha)

But I'm really annoyed with it. My soap has been coming out the colour of
the tray. The longer I leave it in the darker it gets. Does anyone know if
this is likely to continue or is it just because it is new. It has really
put me off using silicone . but everyone else loves it (I guess that is
because it pops out good)

I love the layered look in soap. Tell me does the second layer have to go
onto the first while the first is still soft? Don't think I'm fast enough to
do it that quickly yet lol. Would be great if I can just make another batch
in my own time and add to the first later (Is that possible?)

As far as using downpipe goes......well I had a go....what a joke! I taped
up one end with greaseproof and filled it. Soap just came pouring out the
bottom and went all over the place. Obviously that is a fine art! Any ideas
on sealing the end would help!

Last but not least......any help for finding suppliers for ingredients would
help tons!

Well another weekend is upon us. Hope you all have a great one with family &
friends.

Heather J
