Mary's Soap

Patchouli and Orange

A nice size and shape. Small in cross section but quite thick

Packaging

Again, I think this was packaged just for the swap? Clear packaging allows
visibility of the soap. Packaging a little rough around the edges.

I liked the concept of the label and the colour but may need some refinement
for the public.

Pre Shower Impressions

We had already discussed the oil issues.

A personal aesthetic thing - while having dried flowers on the soap can look
very appealing it really isn't my thing. I do have to say though, that I
loved the deep purple colour but am concerned about colour leakage.

I couldn't figure out if the black blotches were mould as they seemed to be
concentrated around the rose buds but extended to the back of the soap so I
cut a piece that seemed to be clear.

Seems to be a relatively soft bar.

The patchouli was strong and unfortunately the excess oil smelled a little
rancid.

When I cut the bar (which is soft) I noticed the black blobs thought the bar
so not mould but part of the colour. Sorry!

In The Shower

This felt harder as I was using it. I expected it to feel softer and
disappear quickly.

Lather was really, really good. A tiny bit of colour leakage at the
beginning but didn't notice anything later on.

I thought the patchouli would have been stronger in the shower as it seemed
quite strong in the bar beforehand and the scent lingered on my skin
afterwards, as patchouli does. Unfortunately, the slight offness of the oil
was still apparent.

My skin felt clean and slightly moisturised after the shower.

Overall Impressions

I love the colour and would like to know what was used.

Once a few issues are ironed out this could be a great bar.
