Yes I've read that the soap changes colour over time so gosh knows what it will
end up looking like, at the mo, purple with red and blue spots, haha! I'm
using
hard plastic individual molds, as you will see with the soap swap. I really
like them, so want to keep using them. Maybe next time, I'll leave in the molds
longer so the soap goes harder - but when it's done, ya just want to get it out
and look at it and touch it and smell it. I still like the purple one,
hopefully it doesn't turn some horrid colour.
Next time I want to use a bigger mold and cut it up like others do - I'd quite
like to try the swirling but can't really do that with the individual molds,
well probably not easily anyway.

I’ve only noticed spots when using the colour purple, Bill has explained to me
that purple is one of the hardest colours to work with because of something to
do with the makeup of the pigments. He’s been painting for ages (but not since
our children came along). I’ve had noticeable spots in soap that became
lighter
as the soap cured and then they seemed to migrate into a big blur, after quite
some time the soaps were quite nice but I never use too much purple now. I
used
to leave my soap in molds for 2 days but as I’m impatient and listening to
others it’s only 24 hours approx less if I can’t wait.
I don’t know what kind of mold you’re using but silicone’s a soaper’s dream in
terms of getting soap out. I used a mold of plastic that Bill made and we
struggled to get the soap out of that so I turned to silicone molds and haven’t
looked back.
