Just reading through the emails. Jasmine is one of my favourites. I used only a small bit in one of my soaps - most of it was lavender - but it has come out the dominant scent. Made some soap this morning using the violet ultramarine - have just had a peep - don't think I used enough as it hasn't coloured up yet but I'll wait and see.

Jasmine (as well as other heavy florals like rose, ylang and neroli) can be softened with vanilla. Equal amounts make a powdery scent that can be usedas is or blended with other fruits or floral scents. One of my favorite scents is White Shoulders (the original, not the newstuff), which is supposed to be a combination of white flowers. Cat I don't mind jasmine and ylang ylang if they are used very sparingly in blends. I find using components like citrus to cut through the heaviness of them helps---------------------------------------------------------------------- ----------------------This list is sponsored by http://www.soapcraft.co.nz - supplier of raw ingredients. To unsubscribe from this list go to //www.freelists.org/list/ soapcraft/ enter your email address and choose unsubscribe.
