I was thinking that a mailing to past due members might be in order, due to
the larger number of members than normal not renewing to date.
Something like:
" This is a friendly reminder that your 2020 SMBA dues are now past due since
January. We realize this has been a completely different and taxing year for
both SMBA and our members but your membership and your dues enable us to keep
this organization going. Our expenses continue, including the costs of the
newsletter , regardless of the situation with covid-19. We know that many pay
their dues at our concerts and our picnic which have been cancelled for this
year and we would appreciate you sending your dues to Jean Snyder, Treasurer"
