I didn't mean we should have had it before July 26th. If it would have been
sooner, I may not have attended myself. I was just saying we need to get our
plan A & B in place before mid August because of the people we have to contact
and bargain with. I'm willing to work on most of it , if necessary but will
appreciate any help I can get with the fire co. and sound, especially. I can
deal with bands from the house via e=mail and phone but that's difficult with
the fire house.
After Wolf's tirade today and closing down stuff again, we may not even be able
to do anything. These are trying times and hard on an organization like ours
that has to implement plans but one benefit if there is one in this mess is
that everyone is in the same boat and everyone is dealing with cancellations
and changes.

Dick, The state of PA didn't open to green until mid June and we scheduled a
meeting as soon as we were able to do so. No one, including myself, felt safe
having anything inside so here we are. I was even tested for Covid ealier and I
wanted to protect everyone from possible exposure.
We will take the time needed to get our talking points taken care of, as we
have at every meeting we held before.
I agree we need to call the firehouse and talk to the bands to see what they
are thinking but as the state totals increase, we may have little choice in the
matter. We need to have a Plan A and Plan B.
Watching the news would suggest we may have little say about whether we are
going to have our concerts. We will discuss on July 26th at 2:00
Thank you and see you all there.Ursula

Exactly. That's why I've been pushing for a meeting. These things can't wait
until Oct or even much later than mid August. The Fire Hall rental, the sound
man and the bands need thought.
I have a tentative plan for all of this that I will go into at the meeting
including negotiating a lower rent if we actually hold the shows, the same with
Jordan and sound or omit this and go with bands having their own sound if they
play.
Last but not least contacting each band and seeing if they are comfortable
playing here with social distancing in place, meaning our crowds will be no
more than 150 tops, just enough to pay the guarantee. Right now I'm thinking of
possibly 4 of our 10 bands who would play under this scenario, IF we can have
them at all.
I would then suggest that we fill the rest of the dates with some of the top
area bands for whatever we can give them above expenses.
I've talked with some and they are chomping at the bit to play anywhere,
anytime just to get out. I think some of our members are the same but some , I
know will opt to not attend and I fully understand. I myself may be one that
will bypass the shows if things get worse because of my immunity compromised
issues.
I think I can put together a pretty good lineup with this plan, PROVIDED the
covid situation and local laws permit.
Since Glen commented on this , I thought I'd respond with what I had in mind
and have all of you think about it and have comments, pro and con ready at the
meeting so we are not there all day. I know some will want a quick and over
meeting but this is very important and the time to deal with it is NOW.

Folks - Several weeks ago I sent a message concerning the Pickin in Parsons
bluegrass festival scheduled for the first week of August, along with some of
their event requirements - masks, temperature checks, social distancing,
"attend at your own risk policy," etc. I believe it was dated a little after
June 26.
Since that message was sent, they updated their policies, retaining the
comments above, plus do not come if you are sick. They also rented a
Jumbotron and hired camera crews to display the stage entertainment, etc.
I had planned on attending as it is a nice event, and ordered my ticket on
Eventbrite since this event is held in Mary's childhood town - nice little WV
town.
Today, I received notice that the event has been canceled for this year.
We have a few critical decisions to make at our July 26 meeting.
