Yes you can do this! You need to press one of the volume keys to stop the phone
from ringing. After the phone has stopped ringing;
You can then press the STAR to hear the caller ID information again.
That was covered in the manual... Hear is the direct wording from the manual.
Good to know: When the phone rings, you can short press on a volume key to mute
the
phone ring, so the name and number of the caller could be heard. Press the
"Star" button to
repeat the information.
Some other things I can think of that you could do!
You could also turn up the Media/Music volume to the MAX. But that will raze
everything as far as volume. You could also download
and install Macrodroid and create an Macro to raze the volume while phone is
ringing. But again that isn't for everyone...

Hi all
I have caller ID audio on my phone but cannot hear it while the phone is
ringing.
Is there a way to mute the ring to hear the caller ID number before answering?
I can do this on the old Nokia but can't find an option to do this on the
Smartvision 2.
