No google has done that for their TTS regardless of the android version.

Subject: [smartvisionau] Google TTS suddenly changing voices in their latest
update without user intervention
Hi all,
Both myself and my wife used to use Google TTS on our Smartvision2 phones.
However, we've noticed that in the latest update made to
Google TTS, the number of voices available to those using Google TTS set to
English United Kingdom suddenly dropped by 11, from 18
to only 7.
From the sound of those which are now left, it seems some of the best voices
from the perspective of their clarity have been
dropped.
Has anyone else who uses Google TTS in English United Kingdom noticed this?
Has anyone who uses another English variant of Google TTS noticed it?
Could it be to do with the fact that Kapsys phones are running an older
operating system and therefore an older version of Google
TTS is the only version of that TTS supported on phones running android 6?
