Pausing ring to hear caller ID?
That is cool to hear that you got your phone working they way you want now with Envision AI.
Just as an note! The last steps when updating what voices to use could read something like the following.
8. Select ”The default voice you want to use” TTS engine and press OK to activate. IE Google TTS or Eloquence TTS. You do not have to select the Kapsys voice. I thought people should know that just so they have good information and knowing they don’t have to use the Kapsys voices if they don’t want to. The way it read made it sound like you had to Select the Kapsys voice when that isn’t the case.

Rhonda and all,
Please find information from Kapsys pertaining to this issue. Ironically, you have to enable MultiLanguage support.:
I don’t know why but some applications sometimes change the language of the TTS.
On SmartVision2 there are 2 TTS engines :
· KAPSYS VOICES : this is the standard TTS engine with only 1 voice synth selected at a time.
· MULTILANGUAGE : This is an second optional TTS engine(not activated by default) which allows you to quickly switch from one speech synthesis to another one (via a shortcut). Once activated, you can set-up up to three languages.
By default, the following languages are set:
· Language 1: French
· Language 2: English
· Language 3: German
In this case, when you open ENVISION AI, the application seems to request a TTS engine change from KAPSYS VOICES to MULTILANGUAGE language 1 (French) automatically. It’s not really logical but it’s what happens.
So, to avoid this kind of problem, the only solution is to set language 1 of MULTILANGUAGE in English.
To change it you have to :
1. long press MENU.
2. Press down several times in order to reach “Text to speech settings” and validate with OK.
3. Select “Multilanguage” TTS engine and press OK to activate.
4. Select “Settings buttons” of Multilanguage and press OK.
5. Select “Voice language 1” and press OK.
6. Select your English voice and press OK.
7. Press Back 2 times in order to go back to Text to speech settings
8. Select “Kapsys voices” TTS engine and press OK to activate.
I hope this helps.

Hi Sam
Thanks, works for me.
While I have your attention, any ideas about getting the Envision
AI app to work without it automatically switching the TTS to that
very hard to understand, French accented voice? Think it is Vena.
It was working well til it updated a few weeks ago.
Cheers
Rhonda

Hi Rhonda,
Pressing either of the volume keys whilst the phone is ringing
should give you the option to explore the screen without the
ringer in the background.
