I gather that the manual that came with the original phone is very
comprehensive and includes instructions on how to use the email app. Do you
still have that manual? If so, can you find an answer in there?
I am going to try and use the touch screen to see if there are controls I
am missing by using the keypad.

Yes, I thought I had fixed it, but emails are still coming in.
I too have the sinc set to "Never". It is very dissapointing that we are not
getting any assistance with this from Pacific Vision.
I also cannot delete messages in bulk, one at a time only.

Sync is set to never but the emails keep downloading.
It is not a big deal I guess, but a bit annoying and, because I use the pop
protocol, older emails keep downloading each time I delete the current
emails.
Can't find a way to mark all emails to delete them in one go, just one
message at a time. Oh joy.
I now just want to find how to delete my account from the phone.

You should not need to delete password. Just ensure it is set to Never
Download.
