I'm not even trying to use it with bluetooth now, I've turned off mobile
data, and am still getting "authentication problem". When I select one
of the 2 wifi networks available (both have "iinet" but one has some
additional letters or numbers at the end not present in the other one),
then I get a password field, as though it hasn't remembered the
password, and the password I had for my home network which I was using
on my previous modem (prior to connecting to NBN) didn't work when I
tried typing that in, and still got "authentication problem". My home
network wasn't showing in the list of wifi networks so maybe that has
something to do with it, and I can check with my brother-in-law who
helped with initial setup on my desktop after I was connected to the
NBN, whether he perhaps noticed or remembers what network that connected
to etc, but I can't understand then, whi I was successfully connecting
to the play store and just managed to do that when I tested it again
now, though the web radio now says "unable to connect to server" and
offers to try again, with OK and Cancel options, and trying again gave
the same result.

doing system updates! Don't use Bluetooth at all. You can have problems.
The download for the update is about 984MB in size. So depending on your
internet Wi-Fi speed and knowing how slow the SmartVision2 is at downloading
things! Plan on it taking about 30 minutes or so to download. Then allow a good
20 to 30 minutes for it to install. I would suggest that you plug your phone in
for the update if you have less than 50% of battery.
You probably not been using Wi-Fi at all. The phone by default has Mobile Data
turned on. Like Sam said; When you do an Hash+1, the Wi-Fi needs to say
connected. Myself, I keep Mobile Data turned off. That away I'm ensured Wi-Fi
will always be used.

Sam,
I've tried this and it's telling me "authentication problem", and it was even
telling me bluetooth was not connected a while ago when I checked with the hash and 1
shortcut; yet I was using my Brailliant BI display connected via bluetooth! I've now gone
into wifi, did Refresh, tried connecting again, to no avail.

Hi list,
I've attempted several times to download and install the latest
system update available for the SmartVision2, but I keep getting
"network connection failed", even though I've been able to connect
to radio stations via the web radio and opened Chrome and the Play
store. Then when I check the notifications, I'm told wifi is "not
connected". I tried both last night and again this morning, both
with my desktop on/connected to the Internet and switched off, to
no avail, and I don't know how else I'm supposed to get wifi
connected on the phone when I've already connected before to the play store,
web radio etc.
Regards
Vivien
