Hi Paul,
I haven't tried this app, but a similar problem exists with Aipoly vision on
the iPhone. Whilst it gets rave reviews from the sighted community, it
insists on identifying dogs as cats or couches, and is very rarely accurate
in my view. I haven't seen one of these realtime apps work well, and stick
to apps like TapTapSee and Camfind,.

Hi Sam and All
On the Top Tech Tidbits bulletin this week they mentioned BlindSight, an
Android app from Neuro X Labs. It is supposed to use your phone camera to
tell you what's around you. I've tried it,, and found it to be completely
inaccurate. I pointed it at common things like the toilet, and it couldn't
adentify them. And I did remember to turn the room lights on. I assume it
is the back camera that it uses, but I was wondering whether my assumption
is incorrect. I've tried to get more info on how to use the app, but
haven't in this case found Google helpful. Has anyone else tried this app?
They do say it is still experimental, but I'd say that is paying it too high
a compliment.
