eh, I was thinking (and ranting) about it yesterday in my blog.
you have two options: run the installer for 1.1.2 built from YDL (it
is on http://www.openoffice.org/ ) or preparing your own version.
maybe the latter case is helped by lot of free space and (pheraps) a
look at fink .info file
obviously any .tgz is really appreciated ;-)
