I have installed the KDE update on my G4, with only one problem: The
systems sounds/notifications were reduced to a tinny screech. Changing
the sound system to "System bell" has made the computer usable again.
BTW, the sound quality for mp3s, CDs and DVDs was unnaffected by the
upgrade.
