Ah good....got to installfb, alas...I get the same result alas.

That's from my 12.0 dvd boot, but I see the exact same thing with 12.1. I
have a Debian boot that flashes this screen, but it continues to boot.
Checksumming looked good as well on the 12.1 dvd. It's really weird.
