Sixteen Starlight as Katy Marrison "Introduction" Were the pills working yet? Katy bobbed her head above the water, the wetness on her skin and the chlorine smell and taste heavy on her everywhere else. Was she really in a pool this time of day? Katy bobbed back down. She still felt the cooling caress of the water, maybe she really was swimming...she hadn't much experience in this sort of thing before, so it might as well be taken as truth unless she woke up.... And she did. The pillow was soaked with sweat from her "nap", it would definitly account for the underwater sensation she was feeling at the time. Nope, she hadn't taken her pills, it seemed. At least it wasn't as bad as it could be, she wasn't seeing the hordes of lizards coming to attack her. That was her worst spells, feeling, smelling their stench, and feeling their scaly bodies all over her. Nope, she was just laying there, still sweaty, still staring at the Evangelion poster she had tacked up on the cieling near her light. Rei Ayanami smiling always seemed a comforting sight to wake up to. "Katy, honey, you're sandwich is losing that nice hot flavor you enjoy..." Wilfred called out from the kitchen downstairs. Katy was impressed so far, for all of her relapses and spells, he didnt' get mad, didn't threaten to slap her or haul her back to the institution. Nope, he just made her sandwiches, reminded her to take her pills and encouraged her schoolwork. The car dealership was more important than anything in between that, however. She could gripe about his not being able to read over her homework or give an honest opinion about her written stories later. "And dont' forget your medication, I won't be around to remind you when you go to bed, okay?" He was gone after that, of course. Just her in the house, her and her playstation, or maybe her word processor....she certainly didnt' lack for toys or stuff with him. Still, the schitzophrenia support group wasn't probably online at this time, and she was blanking on her next chapter for Red Queen.... She almost wished that she would forget to take the pills again. She would take her chances that the voices or the feelings might be nice instead of scary. The institution was boring too, yea, but it was expected, everything was planned, and there was little a patient could do about it. Morningside made sure of that via restraint time and enemas... But she chickened out anyway, and settled for boredom that night, swallowing down the blue pill with a can of orange soda, then proceeding to wolf down the roast beef and bacon on white bread she liked so much. Something in her told her that Sterling may not be alwas this boring to want her to forget her pills and take her chances with the voices, however....if that was true, she'd have to find it outherself and cope with more of this dullness.
