It could also be that the the operating system is just too old. Never
tried SimpleMail with plain OS 3.0. What you could also try is to
disable the usage of TheBar. There is a hidden option that needs to be
set in the configuration. I don't have the name at hand, but you may
refer to the documentation or history file.
