If you revert to Sounds Essentials does anything improve?

Best wishes.

Dear Claudio and Tim,
I did all this.
I was only worried that the merge utilitys could have pasted disturbing
files somewhere but I don't think that's possible.
I even tried running Sibelius with jaws in French and jaws in English as the
Sibelius scripts are copied in both folders, but the result is the same.
The funny thing is that nothing else seems to be affected, only the keypad
and the keypad templates, the rest of the script seems perfectly okay.
Oh yes, I did one more thing, I added a new playback configuration called "
my midi gear" where I can use my midi equipment rather than sound essential.
Crazy isn't it?
Cheers,

  Jean-Philippe
I don't know really but the merge settings works correctly only for
English
Jaws. And make sure, you copied the settings with the TypeKey correction,
that you need for French Windows.
  Good luck
  Claudio

  Dear Dan,
the option todifferentiate between numpad keys and extended keys was
checked. When you said opening and closing the keypad, did you mean
pressing
alt control K a few times? I did this and jaws said keypad opened and
keypad
  closed alternatively.
Another element I haven't mentioned before, when I installed jaws 9I
executed the merge utilities to copy my settings from jaws 8 to jaws nine.
  Could that be a problem?
Claudio, I have the folder and the files required, as I said in a previous
message I reinstalled the whole thing to make sure everything was right,
and
the files are both installed in the enu and fra folders of jaws nine.
  Cheers,

    JPR,

Another thought. From Sibelius open the configuration manager (JAWS
  Key+6).

Do Alt+S to open the settings menu and choose keyboard options.

Tab to the check box called "differentiate between numpad keys and
  extended
keys" and make sure that it is checked.

OK the dialog and when you're returned to the main configuration manager
window, press Ctrl+S to save the settings.

Return to Sibelius and see if this makes a difference.

    Dear Dan,
the translucent tool window checkbox is unchecked. all the other
functions
of the script seemed to work normally. Navigation is okay. So far, only
  the
F keys that change keypad templates don't work, and also, pressing the
Num
keypad keys have no effect at all, and jaws remains silent when I press
them. I made sure that num lock was on.

The most likely cause for this is that the tool windows are
translucent.
Open the preferences dialog and make sure that the translucent tool
    windows
      checkbox is not checked.

      Dear all,
I just change from jaws 8 to jaws 9 and copied all the necessary files
  for
the script to work. Everything seemed okay until I wanted to try and
  write
    a
little song and discovered that I could not use the function keys for
      changing the keypad template.
      I got this message:
the keypad template didn't change correctly, the current template is.
  And
that's all. It didn't even tell me what the current template was.
      Any ideas ?
      Cheers,
