When you say that the response is faster without the plug-in, how much faster do you mean. Are you getting a nearly instant response from Sibelius, or is there still a significant delay? Try pressing ALT+EQUALS to set the zoom level to 400%. Does it make a difference? Also, could you try disabling the plug-in and then navigating in the score. It would help to know if things are still running slowly when the plug-in is not active. And I just tried it out with JAWS 9, it's a bit faster: a bit under 1 second instead of 2-4 seconds. Also, in case this may influence things, I was just forced to switch to a Toshiba Portege r500, which is said to be a very fancy laptop but has only 1.2 CPU and 1 giga ram. Only sometimes it's a bit faster sometimes a bit slower; when it's slower, the tones are longer when I arrow onto a note. Also, how many and what other apps are open? Did this start recently , or was it always the case from the first day you installed Sib Access? Kevin -----Original Message----- From: sib-access-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:sib-access-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Vytautas Jr Sent: Tuesday, September 16, 2008 7:21 PM To: sib-access@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [sib-access] is the following normal for beta or not Content-type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii Content-transfer-encoding: 7BIT Hi Sibelians, I was wondering if the following occurrences I am getting while editing my scores is normal or not; since I don't seem to hear much about people having this issue, it's possible that I am missing something (which would be wonderful considering that one could fix this instantly). As I navigate and insert notes and so on, the response is often very slow;a good few seconds elapse between arrowing onto an item and hearing it or about it from JAWS. It results that it takes me about 5-10 minutes to edit one bar. Is this a frequent issue of beta releases that will go away eventually, or am I doing something wrong or not doing something necessary. I thought I've seen someone else mention a similar issue either here or on Midimag, but can't find the message, so I thought it would be good if I asked again.
