That's not how I understand the Ossia. So I guess I'm wrong. I thought the Ossia staff was an additional staff added above the normal staves to indicated an alternative passage. I had no idea it caused the normal staves to be hidden. I'll go and read the manual now to see where I went wrong. But this has only the effect, that then the same range of the ossia staff are shown in score, but the rest of it is still there, but hidden.
