CTRL Alt up or down arrow moves you between staves. However, without JAWS to tell you where you are, you hve to arrow left and right to hear notes on instruments that may tell you by context where you are, I guess. Yep. As long as you can work with hearing notes and chords, you're okay. But I don't know how you could move from one stave to the next, unless there's a Sibelius command or menu item to do so. Dave, I assume that when you say, "Navigation across the staves doesn't work," you mean that JAWS will not tell you what note/staf/instrument you're writing for. However, if you have at least decent relative pitch, you should be able to figure that out to some degree. Have I got it right? Kevin, I bought it. Sib-Access does not work at all, but Sibelius without it and just plain JAWS is pretty accessible. You can still arrow through a piece to listen, but navigation across the staves doesn't work. I've even played around with an empty score and input chords from my keyboard, and wow, is that neat! Then I use the chord creator plug-in and export it to Sib 5 format so I can work on it there. For the purposes of re-formatting, it's not hard to use. Here's text from Dan: From the menus choose Layout > optimize staff spacing. This makes Sibelius go through and apply the magnetic layout rules to the staves themselves. This doesn't happen automatically so you have to run the option in the menu. Guys, Was it Dave Carlson who bought Sib 6? I realize Sib-Access won't work with it. But I thought I remembered Dave, or someone saying that they had sort of hotwired Sib-Access to do something in 6. I have ordered 6 because I have a lot of layout stuff that would benefit from having 6, even if it won't talk. I can use the limited vision I do have to get something done. Anyway, who was it who had it and what have you done?
