[sib-access] Re: Tools Window Needs Fixing

I closed all the windows and then used the navigator command both from the
window menu and using your keystroke. In both cases, I saw nothing happen.
JAWS says that it opens and closes alternately. If it doesn't matter to us,
and that makes sense, that's fine.

Kevin,

Hmm, yes that is interesting. Did JAWS announce that it was opening and
closing?

What happens when you use the option in the window menu instead of the
keystroke?

In theory, the navigator window gives you a distance view of the score so
that you can see where you are. They also call the feature "radar". It
might be that the navigator only appears under certain circumstances, but we
don't need it, in fact its completely redundant as far as we're concerned.

Dan,
Interestingly, I just tried all the keystrokes and I don't see
anything happen when the Navigator Window is opened and closed. I have
enough eyesight to see a difference in every other window. What should
happen when the Nav window opens and closes? Kevin

David,

The message you're getting is an unknown function call. This has already
been identified and the next release will not have this problem. In the
mean time, just ignore the message.

The fact that the message is being spoken means that one of the tool windows
was not closed properly. Could you try opening and closing all the tool
windows with the keystrokes assigned to them.

ALT+CONTROL+K opens/closes the keypad window.
ALT+CONTROL+P opens/closes the properties window.
ALT+CONTROL+Y opens/closes the playback window.
ALT+CONTROL+M opens/closes the mixer window.
ALT+CONTROL+N opens/closes the navigator window.
ALT+CONTROL+R opens/closes the parts window.
ALT+CONTROL+V opens/closes the video window.

Try pressing each keystroke a few times. Don't be surprised if the first
press doesn't do anything, it sometimes takes a second for Sibelius to wake
up with these keystrokes.

If any of these keystrokes fail, let me know.

Hope this helps,

Subject: [sib-access] Tools Window Needs Fixing

Greetings from Australia

I am not sure if this has been covered already, or mayhap if there is
something in the documentation but a problem I cannot seem to resolve.

I have a message that tells me that the Tools Windows Needs Fixing and to go
to Control F1 and Select Fix Tools Window.

When this is selected I get an Error Message stating an Unknown Script Call
to .... cannot get the rest, but it is the same everytime.

Any thoughts please?

Kind regards

David
