Morning all, Just to fill in a few details. We have tried to add some basic accessibility support to the new version of Sibelius, after many years of discussions with Dan and others. We neither wished nor intended to make this a substitution for Dan's amazing work - apart from anything else we simply don't have the knowledge that he has. I'm afraid there is no support for Voiceover at this time, and we have had to discontinue support for Windows XP. The last time I checked the application did start on XP, but the playback system may well not work. One thing I would add is that the new sounds library is very good, but does require a significant amount of system resources, so may not sit happily alongside JAWS in this respect. Dan has spent some time making me aware of ways this can be improved, and I know that one of these is by us providing some form of additional information to support Sibelius and screenreaders. If you want to give it a try, you can download a copy and run it on a time limited trial - the url is http://www.sibelius.com/cgi-bin/download/get.pl?com=sh&prod=sibdemo. Gord, Even if the library isn't accessible, simply having faith in the assignment of staves to timbres will be good enough. After all, you don't need to edit samples in a notation program. All you have to do is come close, sonically. IMHO, Kevin On Jul 27, 2011, at 4:43 PM, Gordon Kent wrote: > Wow, this really sounds like what we've been waiting for.
