Kevin,

Check the various instrument names in the Add Instrument dialog first to see
what woodwind names would be used for a Bass Clarinet. Perhaps you need to
have it exactly spelled and/or with the concert pitch in the name?

One other unfortunate problem. I did make the instrument change, but the
Bass Clarinet will not sound. I have Sibelius Essentials up and running. It
won't even play notes in the clarinet range at and after the point where the
instrument change occurs. What to do?

Kevin, if you use the correct text type (I think it's the expression text?)
and put in an instrument name that is standard, Sibelius (and the performer)

will both be able to change instruments. It's a pretty neat feature of
Sibelius.

Guys,
How do you create an instrument change, such as when you want a
clarinetist to put down his B flat and pick up a Bass Clarinet to play a
part that continues on the same staff? Kevin
