Are you running Sibelius 5 or 6? Are you running it with Windows using
Bootcamp, or on the Mac natively. If on Mac natively, Voiceover wil be
useless. So, if you have no vision, and you're trying to do this on a Mac
without Bootcamp and Windows and JAWS, you're toast.

Subject: [sib-access] Installing and running sibelius as administrator on a
Mac?

Hi,

I realize this may be a bit off, but as a curiosity, and wanting to answer
someone's question with some experience under my belt, I installed Sibelius
6 on my imac.

When I went to run it, it complained that I had to run it the first time as
administrator. Like, DUH?, I'm the only user here, who or what else is
administrator?

I've been meaning to call Avid for support before bringing this to the list,
but when I saw the messages about running as admin under Windows, I figured
it would be ok to present this now.

I should also state that I'm slow in learning how my mac works so I need to
get up to speed on that too, which should help matters.

Best regards,
John S
