[sib-access] Help please! Horrors of stop plug-in dialogue

Hi everybody,

My horrors of stop plug-in dialogue are back. Keyboard is English UK.

If I go using arrows, after each note before another one, I get two dialogs
of stop plug-in with the suggestion of pressing space bar. In family, we
have tried to trace function cal and learned about Manuscript language in
Sibelius.

It appears that Sibelius sees the loop of the script and declares plug-in
non functional. Am I right? Are this loop for purpose or made by Sibelius
test function?

If we could unable this test function of Sibelius / Manuscript, I suppose we
could temporary get rid of at least...

Sorry for bothering. I have not Sibelius speaking anymore, my University
courses are not waiting, and Sibelius Access is my only hope to survive in
short term...

Any suggestions?

Vytautas

Hi,

OK, now the thing seems settled until the problem occasionally comes back
even having switched to UK English. The first time I returned I settled by
simply going through the steps and making sure UK English is selected and
did some switching with Alt+shift, and the problem was gone again. But now
it came back once more, and this time it still persists when I do the above.
I tried restarting Jaws, Sibelius, the computer, and same thing. What to do
now? And I'm the only one getting this? There must be something else to
check.

Cheers
Vytautas

Hi,

1 - Go into the Control Panel;

2 - Select Regional and Language Options;

3 -  Press Ctrl+Tab until you're in the Languages page;

4 - Press Enter on the Text Services and Input Languages Details button;

5 - If it's available, select English (United Kingdom), or English (United
States) from the Default Input Language list box then OK all the way out of
the dialogs until you can close the Control Panel with Alt+F4. If these
languages are not available in the list box, continue with the steps below:

6 - Tab to the Add button and press Enter;

7 - Choose the required language from the combo box then Tab to the OK
button and press Enter;

8 - You'll be placed back in the Default Input Language list box, so follow
the instructions in step 5, above.

You should now be able to flip between the installed input languages by
holding down the Alt key and dabbing the Shift key, but your default at
startup will be the language you've selected.

Best wishes.

Hi Stefan,

Until now I set the default layouts with guidance for rapidity's sake, but
I'm on my own now (itss very late here in Canada). How is the default
keyboard language set, please?

Cheers
