The ex1 files result in a DC convergence failure using s2ibis2 on Solaris also. It is a little suspicious that the examples are setup for spectre, and you have to change the .s2i files if you want to run with hspice. The developer of the examples may not have tested with hspice. I believe spectre has a reputation for better convergence than hspice. Anyway, the keyword you need is [Iterate] in the .s2i file. This causes s2ibis2 to generate only the files that are missing. I tried to run the example files in the ex1 directory using HSPICE. The pull-up and pulldown simulations are aborting because of convergence errors. *** error ***: no convergence in dc sweep curves at -3.3000 Do the example files really not converge using HSPICE? If I go into the .sp files and change the range to something less extreme (-1 to 4) they seem to work fine. If i go in and manually create or fix the simulations, is there a switch to execute s2ibis to look at the exsisting .lis files in a directory and create the IBIS model without running new simulations?
