Hello,
Would someone out of here please reccomend me the solution of following
problem.
I am designing the Compact PCI board, and do not have an opportunity to
use double width bracket.
Thus the area on bracket, that I can occupy with interface connectors, is
214 X 15 mm.
But I have to use a large number of connectors, with relatively low number
of pins in each of them - 3,6 and 9 pins connectors. The interfaces are
LVDS, with rise/fall time about 1nS. I can not use connectors like MDR,
because of their length (min length is about 30 mm). The only opportunity
to fit the area, is the LEMO or FISCHER nulti-pole ROUND connectors ( PCB
mount 90 deg receiptacle). But I do not know, which impedance
discontinuity they cause...
Thus my quistions are:
        - Have someone the experience in using round connectors for high
speed differential interfaces (LVDS)?
        - Can someone recommend some alternative (i.e. high-speed low pin
count (3,6,9) connectors shorter then MDR?
