Hi Paul:

I wouldn't worry to much about the difference on the low end -- between 0.00
and 0.01V (although it's an error in the Rising Waveform table, which should
start at 0.00V); but the difference between the Pull-up (VI) table at 1.45V
and the Rising Waveform at 1.20V is serious, and an error on the part of the
model developer.

The IBIS Check utility, which the Visual IBIS Editor incorporates, exists
for exactly this purpose: to check for inconsistencies between the various
tables in an IBIS model (against specified loads) and for syntax violations.

The model developer needs to go back to the original SPICE data on that
buffer, and do it right.

If you or the chip vendor want help doing this, there's an IBIS development
quote form on my company's Website (link below). Also, we're offering
onsite IBIS development classes -- IBIS 101, 501 and 505 -- that are not
currently on the site, but that I can tell you more about if you e-mail me.

Best Regards,
Bill Hargin
