Hello Ivor, I don't know if there is any such Std. method for measuring Hi-Z or Lo-Z state .Generaly vendors specify the way they have used to measure them, along with their specs. For one such method you can refer chapter 6, section 6.2(AC Outputs) of book Application-Specific Integrated Circuits by Michael John Sebastian Smith.
