Hallo, Wang ! 1) Just a proposal: why do you not use standard DSL chip sets available in the market? There is a miriad of those from Infineon, Connexant etc. They offer a lot of development support. 2) see 1) 3) Simulation: ETSI regulations ( DSL: ITU G.992 G.991 and others ) give information about 7 different telecom cable types with their impedance over frequency and also stray parameters ( R',L,C'). 4) see 1) On a US web site there is also a noise calculator for telecom cable occupied with POTS / ISDN / DSL technologies to estimate noise level and therefore BER ( Lets see if I find the link, it is already some years ago ).
